business is up

The volcano's have quieted down, the earthquakes have taken a break, the temperatures have turned abnormally warm, Fur Rondy has started, the sky has gone gray and Bird TLC's business has picked up.

Here's an imature Northern Goshawk that won't stay on it's perch for me to take a picture. He was shot somewhere's in the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. After repairs and some r&r it should be released.

This photograph makes me want to become a volunteer at our local wildlife rescue. Your work is utterly inspiring, Dave. That Northern Goshawk is in such good hands.

Great pics in your recent posts! They all seem to exude their own 'character', although this goshawk is looking a little antagonistic... I suppose I would, too, if I had been shot.

Fur Rondy sounds like fun, not that I'll ever be in Alaska this time of year to find out!

Check out your local rehab center RD. Be carefull though, it becomes addicting.

Thanks Trix. I don't think I would want to tangle with that gos.

It is Mike. A little messy tight now though because of the high temps.
