Avian Influenza


Well, we should all know within the next couple of weeks what kind of effect Avian Influenza H5N1 (Bird Flu) will have on Alaska. Many people have numerous questions and concerns. I've put together a list of offical links and questions and facts sheets. Here they are;

Experts say that human-to-human transmission of the virus is required for the avian flu to become an epidemic, and there have been few documented cases of human-to-human transmission of the avian flu virus worldwide.

That's true Micky. Most cases have been in third world countries where sanitary conditions could be better.
