A new Eagle Scout

Lisa and Petra surprised Devin Johnson (center) at his Eagle Scout induction ceremony yesterday. Then Mt. Redoubt surprised them by spreading a little ash. It's my understanding that Devin is a third generation Eagle Scout.

Eagle Scouts do a lot for Bird TLC. They have built 75% of our outdoor mews. They help with clean ups and all types of projects around TLC.

Congratulations Devin!

Congrats to the new Eagle Scout!

Many, many years ago I was a scout. One of the most memorable experiences of my childhood.

I had the fortune of building the 12 indoor mews for my Eagle Scout service project some years back. It was a great opportunity and a lot of work. Luckily Ferg Bird was around lending a hand at almost every step. The privilege of releasing a Bald Eagle was such an honor and a truly memorable experience. It is great to see that scouting is still contributing to the Bird TLC.
