Birdie Thanksgiving 2012

A good time was had by all at Birdie Thanksgiving 2012 at the Eagle River Nature Center. Mother Nature always throws something at the event. The last two years we were dumped on by snow and this year we didn't have much snow, but the temperature was +2°f. Even though, the turnout is always good and fun was had by all who attended. People also brought raw turkey neck and fresh cranberries for the Bird TLC clinic to use for its rehab birds.

The cold temperatures didn't seem to bother the birds much.

Kids of all ages got to interact with Kodi the northwestern crow, and

Duchess the northern goshawk.

They also saw songbirds up close and made feeders with paper cups, peanut butter and seed.
